From what I have understood, the Cologne Grand Luxe, was a very strong cologne and compounded in the USA, but the pure parfum itself was created, bottled and sealed in France. A dusting powder and lipstick were also available.

Its exuberance is compounded of jasmine, orange, and violet, with a mysterious infusion of ylang-ylang, or "flower of flowers," which comes from Madagascar, among other exotic places. The perfume itself comes from France. . ." $22.50 for 15/16ths of an ounce."
